Born in Orlando Florida, raised on a cattle ranch. One brother, one sister. Loved the cattle business, and after the death of my father, I continued it until 1985 when economic circumstances forced me to sell. Began working in the heavy highway construction industry in 1970 as a laborer and learned to operate multiple kinds of equipment. After 10 years, I moved into supervision, and eventually became an area manager. I retired from the construction business in 2005 and began a second career as an administrator for a construction engineering company specializing in inspection and contract management for state and local governments. In 2010, I retired from full-time work and still work part-time as a consultant and issue resolution specialist.
Judy and I moved to Lake City in February of 2011, and built a home on 5 acres off Lake Jefferey Rd. Although I’m not a fan of the colder winters here, Judy and I have found Lake City to be a wonderful change from the frantic pace of Orlando. Our stay here has blessed us in meeting so many great people, and the church has been a large part of our lives.
