Nominations Elder: Charles Kime

I was born and grew up in Huntington, WV, and became active in Enslow Park Presbyterian Church, where I sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and served on the Diaconate for three years. Upon moving to Miami where I worked as a Civil Engineer, and joined Palmetto Presbyterian Church where I was Chair of the Board of Deacons and ordained an Elder. I also served four years on the Everglades Presbyterian Christian Education Committee.

Upon my retirement from Florida Department of Transportation in Orlando, I moved to Lake City and joined our church in 2004. I then served on the Personnel Committee and Membership Development Committee, before being elected as the Stewardship Elder in 2006 and Property Elder in 2014. I also served on the Endowment Committee, Nominations Committee, and as an Usher Captain.

My wife Patricia and I have a daughter, Karen, her husband Mark and 2 girls, Elyse in Jacksonville, and Leah in New York City. Our son John lives in Houston, Texas with his wife Kari, and their 2 children, Blaine and Luke. One of my favorite passages is Psalm 23.
