We had our first youth and family meeting with our group on Sunday February the 9th after church. I want to thank all the parents because we had every family represented! We enjoyed lunch, the kids shared a song with us and we talked about all the things going on within our youth program. It was a really good meeting!
On Sunday the 23rd we were invited to Community Presbyterian in Jacksonville Beach for a Youth Day sponsored by our Presbytery. Our youth had the chance to worship with another church and connect with youth from all across our area. After service, they fed us lunch and then divided us up into groups so we could get to know each other. There was a lot of fun and games and our group did a great job and had a wonderful time. I think my favorite part was the ride over and back, I had a blast singing with our kids in the van.
Our confirmation classes continue Wednesday evenings in the Fellowship Hall after our family dinner each week. The classes Pastor Ken is teaching have a lot of important things to learn about our faith and why we believe what we believe. I encourage our parents to be studying the material on the jump drive with your kids. It’s really well-thought-out and could lead to some great discussions at home.
