Christmas is such a special season. This year it comes with challenges. As we seek ways to safely reconnect with friends and family, to find a sense of normalcy and regain the joys of past seasons it’s easy to overlook the special gifts we’ve been given. James declared that every good and perfect gift comes from God. Some gifts are large like life and salvation,
love, hope and joy. Others are small like a gentle touch of comfort. God’s gifts are what we need at the moment. Our gifts to others can be the same way. A listening ear, or a small act of thoughtfulness, can be just as valuable as a large gift. I hope this season brings each of us the gifts we need. May the hope of the first Christmas fill our hearts with joy.
