How many of you know that the church pays the Presbytery $8.98 per member per year? I have been a member of this church for about 40 years and didn’t know this until about 5 years ago! The amount we pay is based on previous year’s membership count. What that means is that we will pay $1,939.68 based on 2020 membership. At that time, we had 216 members.
Now, I realize that some of our members have moved away and are no longer able to attend services; but, think how wonderful it would be if all 200+ showed up one Sunday! Just WOW.
I was thinking that, even if you don’t pledge or donate, just giving $10 would at least cover the membership cost! Also, if the 82 people (families) that did pledge this year would just add $10 to the amount, it would give that little boost. I tell you all this not to try to make anyone feel guilty, but so you can see what a difference just $10 can make!
