Youth Update

I really want to begin by saying how excited I am to be starting back our regular schedule with our youth. I also want to tell you about other exciting things that we are planning.

BUT…

I’m reminded of something my Dad used to say: He would be talking about something we were planning or looking forward to, and then he would say – Lord willing.

James 4:13-15 says: Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”

Over the past 2 years we have been reminded many times how little control we have over our day-to-day plans.

So, with that thought in mind, Lord willing, we are back to our regular youth schedule. We meet and have class after the fellowship dinner each Wednesday evening. We will be having youth after church on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, and we will be having a Saturday event at least once a month. Also, Sunday School class has been going again for a little while now. You should come!

We are planning, Lord willing, to go to a great youth retreat at Camp Montgomery April 29th – May 1st. And we are looking at our camp options and mission opportunities for this summer.

So, like I said – I’m excited, and I invite you to get excited with me, let’s make these gatherings a priority in your weekly schedule.
